It’s raining in New York City today so I wore this outfit. The weather makes me approach dressing for the days differently. For a rainy day like this, it’s important that I wear some water resistant shoes that are comfortable as well. My inclination is to go with my vintage 80’s metallic and black sweater coat, by Outlander because its oversized, providing comfort and coziness yet its thick knitted to keep me warm at the same time. I was particularly drawn to this piece because its an everyday piece that I can throw over any casual look yet it’s dressy and an attention getter.
Underneath the sweater coat, I kept it minimal by adding a light gray wool sweater, from United Colors of Benetton, and a black side panel pleather skirt from shop Mandee store. I paired the pieces with some Anne Klein leather combat boots from Macy’s, and added some knee high socks by Lucky Brand for extra warmth. The socks also add more proportions too the outfit and a playful side. Keeping warm and dry, I covered my head in a diamond beanie from H&M and threw a slight pop of color with my Pour La Victoire Crossbody bag.
I wanted to have more diverse backgrounds for the photos but this gray wall had a shielding over it and protected me from the rain drops. An extra thanks to my boyfriend friend for being a good sport and snapping these photos despite of the drizzles. If you like this look check out the links below.
