Pastels coats are such a treat for the eyes in the winter and spring. The colors freshened and add femininity to any look. In my closet, my pop of pink is this oversized coat by Boohoo that I picked up at their sample sale in Soho two winters ago. I’ve been wanting to wear it with my gridded black and white pencil skirt because I got inspired by the pink, black and white color combination. It’s one of my favorite color combination, It reminds me of a sexy Victoria’s Secret or a french boudoir scene.

I wore the gridded skirt with a vintage black puff blouse that I purchased from the thrift store. I really like all the details in the shirt from the flame collar to button down back ,( I forgot a take a picture of the back buttons) and the pinched waist. I paired the look with some DVF white oxfords and accented the outfit with black and white cat eye sunglasses. I wore this masculine and feminine outfit walking around midtown and the Hudson river.

You can also try pairing the pencil skirt with a peplum top and/or a pair of heeled sandals for more of an evening and feminine look . Or you try the other route and pair the pencil skirt with a sweatshirt and white sneakers or any of the combinations in between depending on your mood and surroundings.
