I have been to 3 different cities in the past 10 days for work. Traveling is always great but being back home feels nice and much needed. Especially, when the holidays season is in New York. I am truly trying to embrace the holiday spirit this year. Are you ?
Until next time, take care and remember to make room in your life for new things to come.
I hope you guys enjoy the post !
All closets need a good slip dress, if not a few. Slip dresses are simple, sexy, and comfortable. I was fortunate to find a beautiful ruby silk midi slip dress by Nicole Miller at the thrift store. I instantly fell in love with the color and material of the dress. Underneath the dress, I layered a white silk button up shirt by Lord & Taylor (also from the thrift store) that showed a nice collar underneath the dress. A black and white knitted button-up cardigan by Gap was worn over the dress, this sweater is super cozy and the black and white is a nice contrast to the red-colored of the dress.
I styled the outfit with a pair of ivory Cole Haan’s because my boyfriend and I were going biking ( which I was nervous about ). Naturally, it was wise to wear casual footwear but I also wanted to feel chic at the same time. These Cole Haan’s are so universal, they are a staple in my closet. Vintage tassel earrings and a vintage leather crossbody by Coach accessorized the look.
This outfit has both feminine and masculine elements and is and a mixture of fast fashion and vintage pieces. Overall, it turned out to a be pretty outfit that can be worn to a variety of places and can be dressed up easily by switching out the shoes and/ or handbag.
We had a great time biking on the Hudson, I would definitely do it again and hopefully not get bruises.
