Fall is right around the corner but, secretly I fell in love with summer this year. I spent many hours outside for both work and enjoyment. I enjoyed this shoot a lot because it captures part of the spirit of summer and the Hudson River Park where I go often to jog, eat dinner and catch the sunsets. It was also a bonus that my boohoo luxe outfit goes well with the green scenery.
I purchased the Mare Mare Jorah top from Macy’s and when it arrived it was different than what I expected. In person, the shirt has a lot of texture and is thicker than how it appears in the photo. I like the pattern and the design of the shirt. The off the shoulder, pullover style gives it a sultry, relaxed feel while the puff sleeves add a flair and dimension to the shirt. I paired my blouse with a cobalt blue mini skirt from Colective that I purchased at the thrift store. I like the pop of color the skirt adds in contrast to the black and white. Bringing the theme downward, I added a pair of Marc Fisher Rayz Sandals to the outfit. The lace up design and tassel add details to the feet. These sandals were very comfortable to walk. I completed the look with my white Rebecca Minkoff Mac Mini Crossbody and went with my Betsey Johnson mirrored sunglasses. I walked from Midtown to the Upper West Side and we end up trying out Han Dynasty for the first time. They were the most spacious restaurant I’ve been to in NYC. We tried the fried spiced fish and eggplant and it was a lot of eggplant! Large portions, nice decor, and good service.
Hope you guys have a safe long weekend. I am super excited to get some time off and do anything I want!
